Sinkuun is a large peninsula located north-west of the Great Desert, notorious for being a refuge for outcasts and bandits from the United Cities. It is also home to a relatively isolated group of Western Hivers. The region lacks major towns but contains several minor outposts, camps, and ancient locations.
Skinner's Roam
Skinner's Roam is a large rocky desert territory primarily controlled by the Holy Nation, characterized by its lack of active patrols and significant bandit presence. Located at the geographic center of the Kenshi world map, the zone features multiple Holy Mines, some abandoned, and is known for its massive dust wall. Wild Bulls roam freely in large herds, and the area is frequently harassed by hungry bandit groups.
Ashlands
The Ashlands is a harsh, ashen landscape that was once the domain of the Second Empire. Patrolled by Skeleton Legion groups, Iron Spiders, and Cleanser Units, this zone is characterized by periodic poison gas clouds. It is an extremely dangerous area with no major towns, but offers valuable research artifacts and high-grade weapons for those brave enough to explore.
The Eye
The Eye is a unique region in the game Kenshi, characterized by a central fallen satellite structure surrounded by a persistent sandstorm. The area is a wilderness with no towns or outposts, sparsely populated by wildlife and various bandit groups. A Skeleton character may hint at a second functioning satellite responsible for laser beams in the nearby Venge region.
Howler Maze
The Howler Maze is an island connected to the mainland by water-covered land bridges to the north, bordering Heng and Gut regions. Okran's Pride
Okran's Pride is a symbolic region and home to the capital of the Holy Nation, characterized by fertile grasslands, beautiful plant life, and a docile climate. The region is known for its plentiful water and numerous River Raptors. It contains multiple Holy Farms and is regularly patrolled by Holy armies who protect the territory and eliminate undesirables. The region surrounds a major river that flows through Wend and the Border Zone, providing water and precipitation to the environment.
Vain
Vain is a dangerous zone located on the west coast of the middle section of Kenshi, characterized by its red acidic river and incredible biodiversity. It is the homeland of the Western Hive, known for its abundance of Beak Things and unique environmental conditions. The region offers opportunities for mining copper, trading animal skins, and potentially establishing settlements on its outskirts.
Grey Desert
The Grey Desert is a relatively insignificant zone bordering some of the most polluted areas in the game. It features a single Tech Hunter Waystation as the only resupply point when traveling east towards Black Desert City in the Deadlands. The area has no major towns or ancient locations, and is characterized by its sparse and transient population of various squads and wandering groups.
Rebirth
Rebirth is a dead zone located deep in the mountains, north-west of Blister Hill, dominated by a massive Holy Nation slave labor mine. The area is notorious for the disappearance of Shek and Hiver populations and is extremely hostile to non-human characters.
The Grid
The Grid is a region located northeast of the Crater and southwest of the Swamp. It is notable for its Workshop Complex, which offers opportunities to find high-grade weapons, engineering research, and ancient research books. The area has a mysterious history, with a pre-alpha description suggesting a past scientific and archaeological center that experienced a catastrophic explosion causing a famine.
The Unwanted Zone
The Unwanted Zone is a dangerous and inhospitable region densely populated by Beak Things and Crabs. It lacks any major towns or outposts, making it a challenging area for players to traverse. The zone is rich in animal nests, particularly Crab and Beak Thing nests, and offers opportunities for gathering Animal Skins and Raw Meat for skilled fighters.
Leviathan Coast
The Leviathan Coast is a remote northwestern region of the game map, characterized by its unique wildlife and ancient ruins. Located north of the Cannibal Plains and The Iron Trail, the area is known for its abundant Leviathans, diverse fauna, and remnants of the Second Empire. No major towns or outposts exist in this zone, but it features several ancient locations, nests, and rich natural resources.
Stormgap Coast
The Stormgap Coast is a frontier region belonging to the United Cities, situated between the civilized territories and wild lands like The Outlands. It is characterized by frequent bandit patrols from Grass Pirates and Rebel Farmers, and serves as a buffer zone separating the United Cities from the southeastern "Forbidden Zone".
Forbidden Isle
The Forbidden Isle is a hostile and treacherous region located east of Stormgap Coast. Dominated by Iron Spiders originating from the central Spider Factory and aggressive Tech Hunters, the island is an extremely dangerous area. The environment is further complicated by frequent acid rain, making exploration extremely perilous without proper protective equipment.
Berserker Country
Berserker Country is a harsh, rocky zone characterized by a crimson red background and distinctive terrain. Located near The Shrieking Forest and Purple Sands, the area is primarily inhabited by Berserkers and Cannibals who frequently clash. The coastline is notable for its numerous inactive Iron Spiders, stretching from the coast through Purple Sands and towards The Iron Trail in the north.
The Hook
The Hook is a southern coastal region primarily controlled by the United Cities, Traders Guild, and Slave Traders. It is one of two main Southern regions of the United Cities, featuring various towns, outposts, and ancient locations. The area is characterized by its arid environment and diverse spawning squads.
The Pits East
The Pits East is a zone in the game Kenshi, known as the home of the Crab Raiders. Located near Crab Town, this region features frequent crab and Crab Raider patrols, and occasional conflicts with Reaver patrols. Players can visit Crab Town, where they might become "crabbed" and encounter a unique recruit named Lumi.
Deadlands

The area is characterized by the presence of Fishmen and Iron Spiders along its coastline, with no major towns or nests. It contains minor locations like the Horrible Ruin and ancient sites such as the Dead Fishing Village and Police Barracks.
Spider Plains
The Spider Plains is a large hilly region characterized by numerous Skin Spiders, likely originating from the neighboring Arach zone. The area is also inhabited by various Shek bandit groups such as the Berserkers, Band of Bones, and Kral's Chosen.
